ABOUT ARTIST/AUTHORArtist/Author, Linda M. Brandt, presents a wide and variegated portfolio of both spiritual and secular paintings. Her style is impressionist with the influences of the Pont-Aven (Nabi) and Fauve turn of the century schools.
Linda was appointed to her first professional job illustrating political cartoons at the age of nineteen. With a background in both personal and formal training, Linda continues to illustrate a totally unique style of color and design.
She is affiliated with the Florida Watercolor Society, The Cincinnati Art Club, the Cedar Key Art Association, the St. Augustine Art Association and The National Museum of Women in Art.
Internationally, Linda is affiliated with the Order of St. Mary the Virgin, headquartered in Paris, France and its fine arts ministry of the Marial Museum of Sacred Art.
Linda's work has hung in Europe and is in the homes of many private collectors, including several Ohio political figures, the late President Ronald Reagan, Pavarotti and past Ohio Governor, Senator George Voinovich. In addition to her famous portraits, Linda is also well known for her life like murals of Tuscan Vineyards and Floral Gardens. Included among the companies that Ms. Brandt has designed for are: Geo Zolton Lefton Import Co., Chicago, II, Corning Glass, NY Aegean Apparel, Turkey and NY, MagiCandle, Boston, MASS and KOKONUTS, Laguna Beach, CA. With numerous awards during her art career, she has been featured as WTLW-TV's Art Director and continues to be asked to speak about her life as an artist and to give her renowned Master classes.
Among several prestigious awards granted to Linda as an artist have been 3 Golden Key Awards, the Grumbacher Award, People's Choice Award (Marial Museum of Sacred Art, Mary A Life 2006) and Best of Show (Marial Museum of Sacred Art, Expressions of Divine Beauty 2005).
Ms. Brandt has recently written and illustrated a beautiful, little children's book, Henry's Life as A Tulip Bulb, the first of eight int he series. Due to its popularity, it is now being published by Bloch Publishing, Inc. As well, a movie script has been written for a Hollywood animation production.
