About The Artist:
The Sparrow Sisters have been continually inspired by their ancestors’ strength, creativity and intelligence. Debra and Robyn Sparrow have been creating Salish weavings for over 20 years. Debra is a self-taught Musqueam designer who was born and raised on the Musqueam Reserve. She integrates her peoples’ history into her art and design work. It is Debra’s hope to educate others about the beauty and integrity of her people’s history through her art.
