Born in Scotland, and educated in England, artist Heather McAlpine, traces her earliest art influences back to books about classical form, and a range of diverse works of various American abstract expressionists. She focuses on exploring the process of painting through her use of atmospheric colors and painterly marks, which serve as metaphors for energy, movement and growth. Heather's work has been featured in collections, galleries, and exhibitions all over the world. Our skilled artisans have taken her original artworks and created stunning, woven textile versions, suitable for bringing unique style to your home.
Each fine art tapestry is handcrafted by skilled Artisan Weavers in USA textile mills using between nine and eighteen miles of thread. The tapestries have a 3" Rod Pocket sewn into the top to allow for a tapestry rod for hanging. Or, forego the use of a hanging rod altogether, and display your tapestry directly on your wall using handsome, decorative furniture tacks to hold the tapestry in place.
