Native Bulgarian artist Silvia Vassileva’s bold, free style abstract is masterfully reinterpreted by our artisans into stunning woven wall art for your living space. Cool and contemporary, Morning Fjord brings forth the stunning, glacial blue beauty of the naturally formed, deep inlets among the high cliffs of Norway and Iceland. Silvia Vassileva, took her first art lesson when she was twelve, and she knew immediately that art was her destiny. She suddenly began seeing shapes, shades and color as she never had before, and has never looked back. Vassileva attained her bachelors and masters degree at the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, following her studies there with six years of painting and exhibiting her work in Japan. Moving to California in 1996, the artist has come to have her original artwork represented in multiple galleries, and her prints are published and distributed worldwide. The artist’s original has been well translated into fine woven textile art by our skilled artisans.
Each fine art tapestry is handcrafted by skilled Artisan Weavers in USA textile mills using between nine and eighteen miles of thread. The tapestries have a 3" Rod Pocket sewn into the top to allow for a tapestry rod for hanging. Or, forego the use of a hanging rod altogether, and display your tapestry directly on your wall using handsome, decorative furniture tacks to hold the tapestry in place.
